Spirulina is a type of algae found in saltwater lakes and, like chlorella, is a comprehensive dietary supplement. More than 50% of it is high-quality protein. It also contains chlorophyll, beta-carotene, and other carotenoids and nutrients. Its characteristic ingredient, blue phycocyanin, is attracting attention. It can supplement nutrients that are lacking in those who are concerned about vegetable deficiency.
